The Fabulous Fibbers

I have come across several people speaking implausible things. I somehow think they are not normal!!!!!!!! Sane!!!! Or should I say Kudos to their creative ability!!!!
The latest fabulous fibber has been someone I meet everyday. A super napper!!! Sleeping all the time! When is it is an easy give away that he has been sleeping, then he comes up with the most ingenious excuses!!!!!!!!!!
The most unforgettable one has been that he managed to assemble an LCD TV in *** hours!!!!!!!! And the best part – I believed him!!
It was one of those routine days and Mr. Fabulous Fibber (henceforth to be referred to as Mr. FF) walked out of his cabin looking almost drunk, eyes red and dazed. I simply couldn’t resist asking him if he had slept and got up. Poor man had no way to escape and so went on to tell me how he had slept very late the previous night as he had assembled a TV!! – That was okay but the worst was yet to come. I asked Mr. FF how much it had cost him to assemble a TV at home. He replied that it cost him Rs 13,000!!!!!!!!!
Ooops!!! You can get a brand new assembly lined color TV, big screen TV for the same rate!!!
When I expressed the same–thus spoketh Mr. FF –“ ohh!! That was no ordinary TV, I assembled an LCD TV and that’s why it cost me Rs 13,000.” My, my…. That’s really amazing!!! I should have requested Mr. FF to actually assemble one for me!!! Well that could have happened if I had not believed him. I believed him and Guess how long he took to assemble it!! – only two clock hours - sat at 10 pm and finished it by 12 am!!!!!!!?????
I came home and shared this piece of info with my nephew, who is a mechanical engineer!! He was amused one minute, laughing the next minute and scoffing at me next for having believed it all!!!!
I felt utterly embarrassed…. Thanks to the Fabulous Fibber
If you think this is an amazing lie, I have met innumerable number of people who almost border on psychotic in the art of fibbing!!!
I had a classmate who came back every vacation to tell us that she was engaged to be married to some actor; another got all the attention saying that she suffers from a serious heart problem and a few others who only fib to keep their conversations lively!!!
Come to think of it I think these FF’s add a lot of spark and verve to life!!!!!!

The Earthen Pot

I went to a Flea Market a bit unwillingly but then when nephews call to spend time with you, you hardly have a choice. I was supposed to meet them a little early for a Sunday morning but I reached in time. I called one of my nephews only to realize he hadn’t even started from home. He suggested that I go in and look around. I hesitated to take up his suggestion but the greed for materialistic possessions took over good sense and there I was just picking up whatever took my fansy! I infact had no cash with me and so installed PAYTM and paid! Nothing seemed to be a hindrance or a challenge! One prized possession amidst all the junk was a beautiful earthen pot and it had a nice glazed finish to it! I was informed that I could place it on a gas stove too for cooking!
